Man overboard – at night – in winter | |
|
The skipper's account - 'It was a dark night in the middle of winter. We were anchored in Woody Bay, Rakino; one of only two boats – the other belonging to our friends. We were invited over for a mid-winter shared meal and, yes a few drinks, and gladly accepted.
By the time we were ready to leave, the wind had altered slightly and increased. It was now wrapping around the point making the sea conditions a little rough. We made our farewells, got into the dinghy and headed back to our yacht – slightly under the weather but not to excess'. Read what happens in Chapter 2 in next week's newsletter!
