Change in Customs Policy to Selling a Yacht in New Zealand Under Temporary Import try (TIE) | |

Foreign-owned and flagged pleasure craft, such as yachts, superyachts, and other recreational vessels, entering New Zealand temporarily can enter New Zealand and not be required to pay Duty and GST, and be granted Customs clearance under a Temporary Import Entry (TIE). This allows the vessel to remain in New Zealand for up to 18 months (previously 24 months) without payment of duty and GST, subject to certain conditions such as not selling or offering the vessel for sale without Customs’ permission. |

Recipe of the Week:
Stuffed Kumara Stuf | |
- 4 large orange kumara
- ½ onion, finely diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ C cheese
- ½ C sour cream
- 1 T fresh parsley, finely diced
- 1 T fresh coriander, finely diced
- 1 t butter
- 2 T fresh chives, finely sliced

Preheat oven 170C. Place kumara on lined baking tray, poke holes in them and bake for 45". Lightly saute the onion and garlic in a medium pan & set aside. When kumara is finished cooking let it rest until cool enough to handle. Cut off top, scoop out inside flesh & place in bowl. Reserve skins. Mash flesh with fork & stir through the onions, garlic, 1 T sour cream, ¼ c of cheese, butter, parsley and coriander & season with S & P. Pile flesh back into the scooped- out skins. Place kumara on baking tray & sprinkle over the remaining cheese. Grill on high until cheese melted. Remove from oven & spoon over remaining sour cream & sprinkle with chives. Serve with a salad | |
