Each week we enjoy bringing you up-to-date local and international news, along with the boats that we proudly represent from Absolute and Selene and a brokerage line-up that we sell here and around the world.

Hello Sailors!

Yes, we do need wind to sail - but this is ridiculous. Disruptive, dangerous and just a plain old nuisance.

Everyone's been talking of the constant winds we're experiencing since spring sprang, and for most of us it's extremely irritating, exhausting and sometimes dangerous - and it hampers what we plan each week.
Additionally, the bad news is that the wind is set to continue. Let's hope it doesn't last too long. Summer has tempted us a few times in the past month, only to seem a season away the next day. Hopefully, come December, the winds of November will be a distant memory and we can get out on the water with ease.

Meantime, get yourself a Spade anchor and 'dig in' - out of the wind in a sheltered bay with a good book, a blanket and a glass of something enjoyable!

Happy Boating...

Chip bags buoyancy

Peeved that there's a deceptively large amount of air in bags of potato chips these days, a group of South Korean students decided to make a raft of unopened chip bags and paddled it up the Han River. They used 160 unopened bags of potato chips wrapped in plastic bags and it managed to keep two students afloat. South Korea's food companies said the extra space is needed to prevent physical damage to the product, not to make out there is more product in the bag!
