Earlier last week, came the great news that Auckland will once again be a stopover in The Ocean Race - the crewed round the world race sailed in the semi-foiling IMOCA 60fters. It will be the 12th time that the Whitbread/Volvo Ocean Race, and now The Ocean Race, will stop over in Auckland. This is the second edition of The Ocean Race. The 2021 Race was rescheduled to 2022/23 due to the Covid pandemic, bypassing Auckland and its propensity for Lockdowns. But now the race will be returning to Auckland!

Recipe of the Week:
Salmon Skewers Stuf | |
- Combine Teriyaki sauce:
- 4 T sake
- 4T mirin
- 2Tsoy sauce
- 2t ginger juice
- 2t honey
- 200g fresh salmon, skinned and boned, cut into small cubes
- 8 skewers
- 6 dry-roasted almonds
- greens to garnish

Place three pieces of salmon on to each skewer. Brush with a little teriyaki sauce. Place on hot barbecue for 2 minutes approx, turning once.
Place salmon skewers on a serving plate and, using a fine grater, grate over almonds. Finish with greens. Serve extra sauce separately
