Hello Sailors
The French Riviera is gearing up for another extraordinary edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival, and this September, all eyes will be on one of Italy’s most celebrated shipyards. Absolute Yachts is arriving at the 2026 festival with arguably its most ambitious showcase yet - a full Generation 2026 debut displaying its entire new-generation lineup. Three of these remarkable yachts, each with its own mythological identity, will make their official world debuts at the show: turning heads from Vieux Port to Port Canto. Running from 8 to 13 September 2026 across its iconic twin venues, the Cannes Yachting Festival enters its 49th edition as Europe’s largest in-water boat show, drawing close to 56,000 visitors and over 600 yachts in recent years. For the Italian shipyard from Podenzano, Cannes is far more than a showcase - it’s a stage for statements! Be there!

SEMCO – TEAK (& ALL HARD WOOD) PROTECTION AND RESTORATION
| |
| |
Whether on furniture or a boat - SEMCO is the simplest & most thorough way to clean teak or other hard woods. It deep cleans teak without harsh scrubbing to remove greying, food stains, fish blood, fuel stains & teak oils. It is alkaline based and will not damage wood like some acid based cleaners can. Once teak is clean an initial 2-coat application of SEMCO TEAK SEALER will provide long lasting natural looking protection for an entire season. Once applied, your teak will not turn grey or allow the growth of mildew. Surface soil can be washed away with mild detergent, and with seasonal recoating, the teak will be preserved in its natural state for many years. Try it to see for yourself!

'Incredible' carved canoe dates back to first settlement of islands near New Zealand | |
| |
When Nikau Dix gathered some worn bits of timber on the beach one day, he thought they might make a nice coffee table. The fisherman, who lives on the main island in New Zealand’s remote Chatham archipelago, had spotted the wooden fragments after heavy rains had washed out a creek. He soon came to realize this was no ordinary driftwood.
